Meme Alert!

Honest Scrap tag... I believe I have actually done this one before, but it was a long time ago, and I can always think of ten things to be honest about.

The Lovely Sister @ NaiLz-iN-AuS tagged me for this one. Thanks Li'l Sis.

Here's the deal. Tell your readers 10 things about you that they may or may not know, but are true. Tag ten people with the award, and be sure to let them know they've been tagged (a quick comment on their blog will do). Don't forget to link back to the blogger who tagged you.

1. Speaking to young women who don't have children yet: Sure, there are times when I miss being able to go out, get in my car and go wherever it is I feel like going, with no concern about when I will come back home. But then I hold my little boys and smell their sweet baby scents, listen to their soft breath, feel the warmth of their small bodies, and look into their laughing eyes. They make their Mama forget that she wanted to go anywhere. Of course we go out as a family quite often, but lately it is just too hot to take the little ones anywhere. They are not Amish kids, who just have to get used to the heat, due to not having electricity for air conditioners or fans. Nope, my little princes are no country boys. But I digress. Once you hold your babes in your arms your priorities change and your whole perspective on life shifts, but until you have a child you won't understand. Moving on...

2. My sister L., the nurse, calls me almost every day during her one hour commute to work, and she fills me in on all the latest family gossip. Heehee. She lives near our parents and siblings, so she has more knowledge of their shenanigans. She is now seven months pregnant with a daughter, so we discuss her cravings and pregnancy related experiences too. She also has a 5 year old son. She is my closest sister, only because she is the one who has a phone. I can't talk to my mom and my other seven siblings on a regular basis because they have no phones. They have to walk to a public phone and call me if they want to talk to me, which they rarely do.

3. I have spiritual dreams sometimes. I believe God tells me what to do through dreams sometimes. It isn't scary or creepy, it's really peaceful and when I wake up I remember them in detail. They are usually in the form of parables, like the two I recently posted. The one about Lady Fatima (a.s.) and Lady Zaynab (a.s.), and the one about being kind to people even if we think they are "sinners"... I believe I am supposed to learn specific things from these dreams, and I also believe I'm supposed to share them with others.

4. I learned to drive when I was 8 or 10 years old - a horse and buggy that is. I did not get my automotive driver's license until I was 22 years old. My driving instructor was an old man and pastor of the church I was attending at the time. He and his wife were so kind and helped me so much when I first left home. They provided a kind of underground railroad for me, and they helped me get all the necessary stuff to be independent, my DL, my GED, my social security card and they co-signed my loan from the bank for my first lemon, ummm, car. Anyway, once I learned to drive I was unstoppable. I found an apartment and moved into it, fully functioning, only eight months after my feet hit the ground in the real world. Looking back, it still amazes me how swiftly I got the things I needed, to be a self-sufficient college student. It took less than one year to get established.

5. I have been eating pumpernickle bread lately because of a Barney song. LOL! I think Barney is great. I'm actually enjoying catching up on those sweet little cartoons I missed out on as a child.

6. I keep dreaming I am pregnant with triplets. The most recent night that I dreamed this, they were 2 boys and a girl. I told my husband I want to name them Hassan, Hussein and Fatima, because then our five children will be named after the five members of the ahlul bayt. My sister also dreamed that she came to visit me, and found my twin stroller outside, so she brought it inside and asked me if this isn't my stroller. I told her it is mine, but I won't be needing it any more because I got one for five. Heehee. Maybe I am paranoid of getting pregnant with multiples again, but I think having more than one at a time reduces the number of c sections one needs in order to have the number of children they are destined to mother. (For those of us who require c sections.)
7. I am so excited about having a crepe myrtle bush next to my door. Flowers make a place feel like a home.
8. I've been craving s'mores lately.
9. I'm about to give up dark chocolate, I'm not eating it daily any more, even though it is my favorite.
10. I love baby boys with long hair. When they are still in diapers and drinking from baby bottles I don't think they look right with uber short hair cuts.
Ok, this one is open to all gankers. I don't know who has done it, and who hasn't, so I'm tagging everyone who has not already done it.
