...it's been a hectic week, to say the least. I haven't done much but the minutia of moving since my hiatus began. I'm still not finished with every detail. The internet cable is alive, but I need to rearrange some cables and wires to improve the setup. For now I'm sitting in a chair with my laptop plugged into a very short cable modem and I'm charging it from an outlet across the room. LOL!!! But it works for now.
The new apartment is a bit smaller, but it feels more like a house than a dungeon. Our last apartment felt like a cave, because of it's lack of natural light and it's location at the very bottom of a long hill which we had to climb to go to the parking lot or take out the garbage. To bring home the groceries, well, we practically needed a small mule to get that chore accomplished. Now we can bring in the groceries without whining and moaning about it, because the car is parked right next to our apartment. *WHEW* big sigh of relief over that.
I'm smelling the chicken thighs and purple potatoes I have roasting in the oven, to feed my hungry gang. All three of my men love that. I want to stir-fry some organic broccoli, cauliflower and carrots for them as well. I will have an organic spinach and artichoke salad with cannelini beans and organic lemon juice. I feel like I'm losing weight without trying very hard, since I gave up cheese and nuts. Those two items were my greatest obstacles. I had a good handle on all of that before I got pregnant, but at the beginning of the second trimester I was placed on short-term disability and my husband was laid off so I had to rely heavily on the WIC checks I got for my protein, which was all cheese, peanut butter, non-organic milk and eggs. I still believe WIC was a huge contributing factor to my need for gall bladder surgery seven months after the kids were born. I don't know that it was worth it in the long run. I would have been better off eating lentil soup and flat bread every day.

Welcome back to the WWW!
PS
Aint moving grand??? LOL
Seems like your never done! We've been here almost a year and 1/2 and still have boxes I haven't even cracked!
Heehee. It sounds like you need to drop some boxes off at the Good Will. :-D If you haven't cracked them in a year and a half you probably don't need them.
Your new place sounds so nice! Cheese is my downfall too....I could eat it at every meal and be completely happy (though my arteries wouldn't be!)
Well, part of my "box problem" is we knew within two months of moveing here that we weren't going to be staying - so as opposed to having to repack - we just never totally unpacked. But yes, we certainly have to get rid of some stuff. We had a year's lease and would have moved when the year was up, but my husband had knee surgery and we missed the "window of oppertunity" so to speak. Baring any major disasters though - we are definatly moving in October!
